A COMMITMENT TO PRACTICE & ACCOUNTABILITY

At The Root is a relational, embodied coaching and consulting practice.

This work is grounded in an ongoing commitment to cultural humility, harm reduction, and the continuous practice of aligning values with action—personally, relationally, and systemically.

Purpose

Our team of branding experts will help you develop a unique brand identity that sets you apart from your competitors. We'll work with you to create a brand strategy that resonates with your target audience and builds brand loyalty.

Our Commitment

This work is rooted in a commitment to transformation that is both personal and systemic.

Through The Root Process™, we engage lived experience, identity, and history as sources of insight and change—supporting the movement from unconscious patterning to conscious, embodied practice.

This includes:

  • engaging with power, identity, and systemic dynamics
  • practicing harm reduction and trauma-informed care
  • centering the experiences and knowledge of historically marginalized communities
  • cultivating spaces that support honesty, reflection, and growth

This is also an invitation:

to engage with openness, to offer feedback, and to participate in a shared practice of accountability grounded in mutual respect and our collective humanity.

Guiding Principles

This work is guided by five interconnected principles:

Access
Ensuring that people have meaningful opportunities to participate, engage, and benefit—through the removal of barriers and intentional design of inclusive conditions.

Inclusivity
Creating spaces where those impacted by decisions are meaningfully involved, with attention to historical and ongoing imbalances in voice, power, and representation.

Diversity
Honoring the range of lived experiences, identities, and knowledge systems that shape how we understand and move through the world.

Justice
Actively working to address inequities in power, access, and outcomes through both reflection and action.

Equity
Practicing fairness in process and distribution—while continuously examining and addressing the root causes of imbalance.

How Accountability Is Practiced

Accountability is not a fixed outcome—it is an ongoing process of reflection, feedback, and adjustment.

This includes:

  • Ongoing Learning
Continued engagement in training and education in somatic, trauma-informed, and healing-centered practices

  • Open Feedback Channels
Invitations for clients and community members to share feedback through surveys, conversations, and direct communication

  • Transparent Communication
Maintaining accessible communication with a commitment to timely response

  • Accessible Offerings
Providing sliding scale pricing structures to increase access, informed by lived experience and financial context

  • Collaborative Review
Inviting input on policies, practices, and approaches to ensure they remain aligned and responsive

  • Applied Practice
Integrating these principles directly into the coaching, consulting, and facilitation work itself

A Living Practice

This work exists within broader systems that are often complex and contradictory.

Rather than claiming perfection, this practice is rooted in awareness, responsibility, and a willingness to evolve.

Relational Commitment

This work is guided by values of relationship, gratitude, reciprocity, courage, humility, and integrity.

It is also grounded in a commitment to right relationship—with self, others, community, and the land.

This is an ongoing practice—one that is shaped through engagement, reflection, and relationship.

You are invited into that process.
